Matt Alber was born April 27, 1992 in Newton, Massachusetts to Bob and Lisa Alber. Matt grew up in Chelmsford, Mass and has two younger brothers, Brad and Blake, both goalies. Matt played 8 years in the Chelmsford Hockey system and then played one year for Nashua Pro Ambitions team in Nashua, New Hampshire. Following in Dad and Grandpa's footsteps, Matt is a big New York Rangers fan and his favorite hockey players are Ryan Callahan, Henrik Lundqvist and Derek Stepan. A Sophomore at UofL studying Sports Administration, Matt aspires to his dream job as a General Manager of an NHL team. [Return to Roster] |

Kyle Burdorf was born July 7th, 1990 in Louisville, Ky. He began playing goalie at age 14 and played his first year of travel hockey for the Louisville Storm. He attended Ballard High School, before transferring to Trinity High School. While at Trinity, Kyle won the 2007 state championship, while leading Trinity to an undefeated in-state record. After graduating, he moved up to New York to play Tier III Junior A for the Jamestown Jets. Now in his second full season at the University of Louisville, Kyle is in the midst of pursuing his Chemical Engineering degree. Jake Devido grew up in Wilmington, Pennsylvania and began playing hockey at age 5. Jake played travel hockey in Pittsburgh from Mite through Midget. Jake is currently attending University of Louisville majoring in Justice Administration. [Return to Roster] |

Cory Gettelfinger was born May 6, 1991 in Louisville, Kentucky. Raised in Louisville, Cory played hockey for St. Xavier High School during the 2008-2009 season. Cory is pursing a Bachelors degree in Accounting in his Junior year at the University of Louisville and enjoys playing on the Cards Ice Hockey team. [Return to Roster] |

Nick Kuypers grew up in Chicago where he began playing hockey at the age of 5. This is his third season playing with Cards Ice Hockey. In previous years he has served as Cards Team Captain and currently he serves as Cards Team President. Nick is a Graduate Fellow at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He serves as a Research Assistant towards completion of his PHD in the departments of Neurobiology and Neurological Surgery. [Return to Roster] |

Rod Little was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and began playing hockey at age 7. Previously Rod played on the Louisville Storm Midget team and is playing his first year with Cards Ice Hockey. Rod is a Freshman at University of Louisville purusing a degree in Computer Information Systems. [Return to Roster] |

Justin Martinell has been playing hockey for fifteen years, started playing at age 6. Justin's first hockey game was a roller hockey game. Justin started playing ice hockey as a Mite. Previously Justin played on the Louisville Storm Midget AA team with fellow Cards Adam Swiergosz and Hunter Shacklette. Justin served last year and continues to serve this year as one of the Cards Ice Hockey Team Captains. | Hunter Shacklette began his passion for ice hockey at 8 years old. He played for Downingtown Middle School in Pennsylvania winning regionals in 2003. He played 6 years from Bantam to U18AA with Louisville Storm travel. During this time his team won Bantam AA Buckeye League and State Championship titles. In 2009, Hunter played for Oldham County High School, winning the state title. Hunter currently plays for University of Louisville in the ACHA and serves as one of the Team Captains. Currently pursuing a history degree, Hunter plans on being a high school history teacher upon completion of his masters degree. Bleeding orange, Hunter is a die hard Philadelphia Flyers fan, but his favorite players who he looks up to the most are Jason Spezza and Zach Parise. [Return to Roster] | |
